The Toronto Zoo is making a name for its new zebra foal — literally.

The zoo welcomed a male Grevy’s zebra foal Feb. 13 that has so far remained nameless — and now staff is asking fans to help pick the young one’s new moniker.

A Facebook post shared Tuesday revealed that the zoo’s zebra keepers have narrowed down the choices to four different names, all with special significance.

The first one, JJ, or Jake Jr., is a nod to the foal’s father, 11-year-old Jake.

The next, TJ, or Tori Jr., is a nod to 8-year-old mom Tori (or to both Tori and Jake depending on how you look at it).

The zebra keepers also appear to be pop culture fans, as the final two options are references toStar Warscharacters: Chewy and Obi.

Those selections would round out an all-Star Warsfamily for Tori and Jake; their other two foals are named Leia and Rey.

Fans can comment which name they like best on Facebook, and the winning moniker will be announced March 12.

“Love the idea of continuing theStar Warstheme but Chewy doesn’t seem much like a zebra name,” one user wrote.

TJ also has some support, too, like from the user who wrote, “I have to say TJ- that was my husband’s name, he died a few months ago, he loved the zoo and during March break we would often take the kids.”

The foal’s birth is a big deal for the animal planet, as Grevy’s zebras are an endangered species and have been since 1986. There are only 2,800 left in the world, found mainly in Kenya and Ethiopia.
