The reliably wild Torres — lately of Suits , but also a warhorse ofFirefly(and its flick adaptation , Serenity ) as well as other musical genre show like Alias , Angel , Xena : Warrior Princess , Hannibal , andWestworld ; she also pop up as a steering counsel on Riverdale — has the necessary portmanteau word of toughness , intelligence , and glamour necessitate to anchor a show like The Brides , whichDeadlinecalls “ a sexy contemporaneous reimagining ” of the Dracula fib .

If the meshwork likes the horror pilot program , which is being write by Aguirre - Sacasa and directed by Maggie Kiley ( Chilling Adventures of Sabrina , Katy Keene ) , The Brides could be just the latest Dracula - adjacent project to hit the small screenland afterNetflix ’s late Dracula miniseries(not to mentionCastlevania , also on Netflix ) . And it ’s a good time for Greco-Roman monster in general , really , specially afterthe huge success of The Invisible Man .
