For all its hymeneals planning and mewl about utter kisses , Galavant is pretty thin when it come to genuine romance ( aside from the chef and Gwynn , who are endearing ) . And its distaff characters are a bit one - billet . But it ’s take a great prison term with the odd - yoke bromance between Galavant and Richard .

This season of Galavant has been mostly the Galavant ‘ n Richard show so far , as the former competition pursue their various destinies — or what they think are their destinies . When Richard , who does n’t know what to do with himself if he ca n’t be a king , reconnects with an honest-to-god booster , Galavant decides to encounter matcher , realizing this might give Richard something to do ( other than keep unexpectedly sabotaging his pursuit ) . It does n’t quite go as design , but it ’s the funniest moment of either episode that aired this week ( “ Aw , Hell , the King ” and “ ensorcelled , Bothered and Belittled”)—and you get ta be intimate a buddy for trying .
