The FBI has reportedly been dealing with a malicious hacking try on its systems . It ’s still unclear just which systems were compromise and for how long .
CNNfirst reported Friday morning that the FBI is investigating a variety of “ cyber incident ” that polish off one of its computer networks . According to nameless sources “ brief on the matter , ” the agency has recently been investigating and working to contain the speculate hack attempt .
The report has short detail regarding how big the attempted hack was or how widespread the impingement could have been , but the anonymous rootage reportedly said the incident involve the FBI computer system used to investigate child sexual maltreatment material . The sources also say the hack had somehow involved the FBI ’s New York field of operation agency .

In an email argument , the agency told Gizmodo that it is “ aware of the incident and is working to gain additional information . ” The FBI further said the “ isolated incident ” was “ contained ” and there is an ongoing investigating into the matter .
