Now they ’re back in action , let ’s have a schmoose about all things for the resplendency of Sontar !
The sophomore installment ofDoctor Who : Flux , aptly title “ War of the Sontarans , ” hang back the Doctor , Yaz , and their inauspicious new honest friend Dan from the remainder of the world and to the forepart of the Crimean War , as the armies of 19th - century humanity found themselves up against the technical might of the Sontaran Empire . Time ’s been less kind to Who ’s new take on the Sontarans from a optical standpoint — gone is the bluish - tone up U. S. Army of their late NuWho first appearance , replaced with a more classic - inspired silver and Zane Grey . And now , well … they do bet wonderfully wretched instead of so pristine , do n’t they ? It really is harkening back to some of the Sontaran ’s past aesthetics .
