Cailee Spaenyknows she had big shoes to fill in tellingPriscilla Presley’s story.

On Thursday, A24 shared a new behind-the-scenes clip fromSofia Coppola’s new moviePriscillaexclusively with PEOPLE. In it, Spaeny,Jacob Elordias well as filmmaker Coppola discuss portraying Priscilla and Elvis Presley’s relationship through Priscilla’s eyes.

“Elvis and Priscilla are so legendary because of their commitment to glamour," Coppola shares of the couple’s specific fashion sense. “They never leave the house without full hair and makeup.”

Elordi, who brings the rock ‘n roll icon to the big screen just one year after Austin Butler portrayed Elvis in 2022’s titular biopic, says that his costar Spaeny is “so true in the way she tells this story,” based on Priscilla’s 1985 memoirElvis and Me.

“It’s an incredible responsibility to make sure that Priscilla felt seen,” Spaeny adds of her role in the film.

The film covers the pair’s first meeting in 1959 and subsequentrelationship and marriage, which lasted until their separation and divorce in 1972. “Cailee really transformed, she’d look so different," Coppola shares of how Spaeny portrayed Priscilla over the roughly 13-year period the film covers. “She’d go from 15 to 28 and pregnant in one day.”

While Spaeny notes that the movie exhibits “Elvis through Priscilla’s eyes,” she credits her costar Elordi for his performance as Elvis, who died in 1977 at 42. “Jacob did such a fantastic job in showing all the human sides of this rockstar,” she says.
