The system draws on part already found in some of BMW ’s current models , including its fancy pant 7 serial , and augments them consequently . If all goes according to programme , all you ’ll have to do is push a release as you approach a parking place — the automobile will take care of the rest .
A meditative lens is put at the head of the parking and a picture camera measures the aloofness and angle between the elevator car and the electron lens . Then the car calculates trajectory and activates the gas pedal point and steerage wheel as the situation merits .
BMW is no stranger to automate machine processes . Its iDrive system , though apparently a pain in the neck opening to manoeuvre , automated several process like drive and cabin controls , and is already in several of its car .
