On your desk , it ’s about the size and heaviness of a treble - decker Wonder pelf sandwich . But the BassJump , an aluminum micro subwoofer to match your MacBook Pro , made me salivate more than soft , svelte carbs covered in mayonnaise ever did .

The Verdict
It looks better than it savor .. err … sounds .
I ca n’t refuse , my MacBook Pro ’s tinny verbalizer have never sounded better than when complemented by the BassJump . Through USB ( and some unnoticeable bundled software ) , the BassJump mix with your existing laptop speakers to give you a more balanced audio experience .
The strain range , generally underrepresented by my MBP , is audible with the BassJump . The Beatles , specially , were hugely improved through the richer vocals and guitar Riff offer by the mini hero . Walking to the next elbow room and closing my optic , I decided my MacBook now sounded like a low - stratum iPod dock .

Still , the audio is n’t especially vindicated . And despite the BassJump ’s name , it does n’t really give you sea bass . It ’s more like a midrange speaker unit that ’s still incapable of bump R&B.
So while the BassJump surely looks adorable and legitimately reverse MBP music from unpalatable to sort of listenable , its low end capableness ca n’t equal a very dedicated subwoofer . And its overall audio issue , while adequate , would be cross by most any 2.1 loudspeaker system arrangement in its price range . [ BassJump ]
