Courtney Robertsonis soon to be a mom of three!
“We had always talked about wanting a big family,” Robertson, 40, tells PEOPLE of life plans with the attorney, whom she married in 2020.
Luckily, the timing was perfect for theAfter Realitypodcast host, who is based in Phoenix, Arizona, as she got to have her last “hurrah” with a big 40th birthday bash in July, “then I found out we got pregnant the month after.”
“We just did all the testing. Everything’s normal,” Robertson shares. “Just a huge peace of mind. I am an old pro at this now. I knew I was pregnant right away because I just had all the same symptoms and I started craving sushi, which you can’t eat when you’re pregnant. That’s a giveaway. And then I was craving bagels, so I was like, I think I’m pregnant.”
“My husband has just been a champ, really going above and beyond so I can rest as much as I can.”

Despite the well-earned repose at times, Robertson says she prefers a bustling household and has been “savoring” this pregnancy, which she says will be her last. “So I’m savoring the bagels, savoring all the carbs. I know this will be our last one. So everything is the last time.”
Additionally, theI Didn’t Come Here to Make Friendsauthor notes this pregnancy is exciting in a different way because she had both her son and daughter during the height of COVID.
Though Paloma just turned 2 and is still a little young to process the big news, the couple’s son Joaquin “understands” and is already a proud big brother.
“My son’s so excited. He understands. He’s been telling the whole world, and obviously, we found out we’re having a boy, and we opened that with both of our kids.”

“I felt right away it was a boy because my symptoms were very similar to how they were with Joaquin. He was a cool customer,” she laughs. “My symptoms were really mild. And then with Paloma, I was so sick, not throwing up, I just felt so much worse. And then I think I carried differently. And even this time around, I am showing the same way that I showed with Joaquin.”
Adds Robertson, “Either way we would’ve been happy, but my daughter’s going through her terrible twos right now, and there’s been times where we’re both like, ‘okay, one girl’s enough.’ So we were really thrilled to have another boy.”
While Paloma is “a bit sassy,” Joaquin is more of a “rule follower” as the older sibling, Robertson says of her opposite little ones.
“I’m thinking the third might be even more wild. I love a wild card!”
