Everyone who watched the Arrow installment a few weeks ago sleep with what the title of respect of this episode , “ The Offer , ” means . And we know what the answer will be . So the rest of the episode was just about serve up a steaming cupful of crazy , using each character ’s fussy talent in that area . Spoilers in the lead …

There ’s no fix for wretched determination - make skill , Ollie ! Stupid is always ! You do n’t need to be put in charge of an unquestioning army of assassin . You need to be fitted with one of those electric shock choker that they put on rove dogs , and then you need to give a remote zapper to every fellow member of your squad .
He even come to the right determination in the wrong way . The Arrow squad spends the entire episode tag after a guy who , hale into confession by the police force , sewed his lips shut and got some armor - pierce bullets . The instalment ends with a massacre — and I apply that word advisedly — at the police place . Ollie beguile the hombre , and occur back practically whistling , because he realized he just wants to save people . He does n’t need anything more . Which , fine , good conclusion , but jeez , Ollie . At least eight people were pout down . Be less chipper .
Anyway , on the dot how Stephen Amell supervise to make Ollie likable , or even fair to middling at times like these , is a mystery . It ’s not his face . I mean , he ’s well-favored and all , but he appear like he should be murdering sorority girls on his yacht . And who knows . We ’ve become two more age of flashbacks . That could still happen .

He enjoin , “ I do n’t put much stock in augury but there is a prognostication : The man that does n’t exit at the blade of Ra ’s al Ghul will become Ra ’s al Ghul . ”
What human being can say that ? Honestly . And he father lines like this every episode . Lines like , “ I did not kill your beloved , ” and “ Let me prove to you my reborn loyalty ! ” That is linguistic sadism , I tell you , and yet he handles it with elan .
The pretty young things in this show throw themselves around the room weeping , but if you want veridical sadness , Quentin Lance is the one to go to . Paul Blackthorne does a peachy task of conveying something hard — a man who screw he ’s countermine himself , but ca n’t change . It ’s not so bad when he ’s breaking his alliance with The Arrow , because he knows his supposed ally covered up the news program of Sara ’s death . Things get really sad when he tells Laurel that , as much as he loves her , he does n’t think he can ever forgive her . This scene is reinforce , rather than undercut , when the villains attack the station and he instantly post Laurel out to prophylactic . It ’s not about being angry , or claim revenge , it ’s about not being capable to get over the feeling of departure and treason .
Arrow took a surprising , and welcome , turn with this character . I was n’t especially fond of her at first , because all she really did was give people smolder looks and speak about honor , and you’re able to only get away with that thing if you ’re a vampire . After a final scrap with Ra ’s al Ghul , during which he disinherits her and permit her lover ’s killer whale go free as a nowadays to the cat he ’s actually passing his mantle to , she . . . conk back to Star City and vex a lifespan . Yes , this animation involves killing people with arrows , but it also involves awkward dinners with Laurel Lance and comical little aspect twitches when she tries to interact like a human being .
