Apple uncerimoniously killed off the iPod Classic a few months ago , and the cyberspace , as it is wo nt to do , basically irrupt with consumerist anger . Although the iPod Classic probably wo n’t be add up back any prison term soon , this concept , if it were to become actual , would make it all ok .
To be decipherable , this is not an real product . It ’s not even a hint of an actual product . It does n’t even have a crowdfunding drive yet . It ’s just a construct from designer Claudio Gomboli , and it ’s likely to remain that means .
Although the covering would be dead - childlike to make ( give me five minutes in an Apple Store with a hacksaw and a Sharpie and I ’ll make a decent lookalike ) , the clever alternative UI that you see in the cover ’s window would be unmanageable to get onto a non - jailbroken iPhone , thanks to Apple ’s expiry - grip ascendence over its products .
But screw reality . This is a great idea . The clickwheel was already a neat way of sail around a gimmick , and if the iPod Cover work with gloves on , it ’d be a grampus winter accessory . It ’d take an Apple intern twenty bit to design . This is a personal plea to the Apple R&D squad . If any of you have person left , make this . Make it now . Then charge me $ 99 for possess one .
