The bon vivant servings of hobbit food were part of the Alamo ’s regular Film / Feast event , which always has one limited event that focuses on Tolkien ’s masterwork every year . The attention to item is astounding . The three picture , back to back , tally up to twelve hours , with Hobbit - inspired food for thought being served at each Hobbit mealtime . The computer menu tell the awesome story — plus there ’s also a video about the outcome .

This all - day event is an annual Alamo Drafthouse tradition as sure-enough as the ancients … or whenever RETURN OF THE Martin Luther King came out . Each class we must gain to narrate the epic quest of the hobbit Frodo and his merry dance orchestra of gnome , wizards , elves and Viggo ’s . We cuddle up together and watch the intact LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY – closely 12 hours – and get loaded to the gills with food , beer and wine all inspired by Tolkien ’s Middle Earth !

The eight course are served during each Hobbit meal time ! By the time the King ( spoiler alert ! ) rise to his lawful throne , you too are ready to go back to the shire horse and be greeted as a hero by your loved ones who did n’t intend you would make it all the way … and then authorise out . DISCLAIMER : The first two flick will be the “ director ’s undercut ” edition in 35 mm , while the third will be the original theatrical release in 35 mm . The “ theater director ’s cut ” of the third picture show was only unloosen in videodisk formatting , but the narrative goes that by the third film , Jackson had almost stark originative control … so , the theatrical slice is really like a director ’s cut .
