When most of us think of “ inventors , ” we ’re probably call up about folks like the Wright Brothers , Alexander Graham Bell , or Thomas Edison — kinsfolk who changed the world by creating something new and lived to tell apart the tale . What gets talk about less frequently are the folks that are n’t so lucky : the hoi polloi that tried creating futuristic machines and , uh , terminate up becoming victims to those machines in the appendage .
