IEEE ’s 802.11n operate chemical group has given Draft 2.0 of the specification a thumb up , sending it off to members for favorable reception by the ending of this month . The consequence is that once it ’s sanction by all members , work on Draft 3.0 starts in earnest , to be sent out for voting by June . As long as everything goes off without a hitch over the next year , Draft 3.0 — which will be the foundation for the final specification — should be approved in January 2008 . This means that everything made after next January will be the actual deal , just without the official label on it until October .
