The porg is easily the most controversial new character in the Star Wars universe . You either love it or hate it , but either way , everyone wants to make photoshops of this strange little creature . And Gizmodo readers delivered .
Yesterday , we enquire you to send us yourbest porg photoshopsand we got way too many to even count . Plenty of you get hold of the challenge to another level , with more ocular puns than I even believe possible . We had Porgy and Bess , mockery of Porky ’s , and my personal favorite , Porgo Rosso ( a completely ocular riff on Miyazaki ’s Porco Rosso ) .
But I believe that I have to announce the winner to be the photoshop occupation above — the Porg Borg , as I ’ll call it . And as the winner , Gizmodo reader DPendleton gets the prize we promised : They wo n’t be destroyed in the coming porg rising . ( You know it ’s come . )

But there were so many other photoshop foundation that were strong competition for “ winning . ” My apologies that I almost certainly did n’t see every one submit , but you guys really did an amazing problem all around . It ’s nice to have a funny misdirection like a good , old - fashioned photoshop biz , given the fact that we seem to be headed into a whole avoidable World War III . Seriously , things arenot slap-up right on now .
